Shipping Policy

MAXMAKE Shipping & Delivery Instructions

1.Shipping Destinations & Service Methods

Policy Details:

  • Service Regions: We currently primarily ship to the USA, Canada, the EU, the UK, Australia, and select Asian countries.

  • Shipping Method: Due to the Desktop CNC being heavy precision equipment (packaging weight approx. 20kg+), to ensure transportation safety and save you from high airfreight costs, we primarily use Sea Freight or Rail (for Europe) for the initial leg. Once cleared through customs in the destination country, it will be handed over to local couriers (e.g., UPS/FedEx/DPD) for final delivery.

  • Air Freight Upgrade: If you need the machine urgently, we offer a paid Air Freight Upgrade. Please contact customer support for a quote before placing your order.

2.Order Processing & Shipping Time

Policy Details:

  • Processing Time: After order confirmation, we require 7-15 business days to prepare the shipment.
  • Note: Every machine undergoes strict QC inspection, operational testing, and calibration before leaving the factory to ensure you receive a perfect, "out-of-the-box" machine.

Shipping Time (Delivery Time):

  • USA/EU/UK/Australia: Typically 30 - 60 days (Sea Freight + Ground Delivery).
  • Asia: 10 - 30 days.
  • Note: Sea freight transit times may be affected by port congestion, weather conditions, or customs inspections. Specific times are for reference only.

3.Shipping Costs & Tax Policy

Policy Details:

Since CNC machines are high-value and heavy goods, our tax policy varies depending on the buyer type (Individual vs. Corporate). Please read carefully:

A. Personal Buyers (B2C)

To provide a hassle-free shopping experience, for personal orders to major markets like the USA, EU, UK, and Australia, we primarily use the DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) method.

  • Duties & Taxes: The final price shown at checkout generally includes import duties and VAT for the destination country. This means you usually do not need to pay extra fees upon receipt.

  • Exceptions: If your region is considered a remote area or a non-core tax-inclusive country, additional customs clearance fees may occur. This is rare, but if it happens, the logistics provider will contact you directly.

  • If your delivery address is defined as a "Remote Area" by the carrier (e.g., islands, mountainous regions, inland remote areas of Canada/Australia), standard shipping fees may not cover the cost. In this case, we reserve the right to request a shipping surcharge or cancel the order. We will notify you via email in advance.

B. Corporate Purchase (B2B)

If you are purchasing on behalf of a company, or need to buy D1/D1S in bulk for commercial use (and require a specific commercial invoice for tax deduction):

  • Shipping Terms: Corporate orders are typically based on DAP (Delivered at Place) or DDU terms. This means the buyer is responsible for handling import clearance and paying relevant duties and VAT.

  • Freight Calculation: Shipping costs for bulk corporate purchases may differ from retail rates (e.g., pallet shipping via sea or air).

  • Action Required: If you need a corporate quote or specific Incoterms (e.g., EXW, FOB), please do not place an order directly on the website. Please email our sales team at hello@maxmake.com first.

Accessory Shipping Policy:

  • Purchased with Machine: Free Shipping (we will pack the accessories inside the machine box).

  • Purchased Separately:

    Order Value < $300: $30 Shipping Fee.

Order Value ≥ $301: Free Shipping.

  • Note: Orders for accessories purchased separately do not include customs duties. For private or remote addresses, please refer to the shipping table for potential extra fees.

4.Logistics Tracking (Understanding Sea Freight)

Policy Details:

After payment, you will receive a confirmation email containing a "View Order" link, which can be used to track your shipping progress. If you do not receive the email, please check your spam folder or add hello@maxmake.com to your safe contact list.

After shipment, you will receive a tracking number. Please note that due to the nature of sea freight, tracking status may not update during the ocean voyage (approx. 30 days). This does not mean the package is lost; it simply means it is in a container crossing the ocean. Once the package arrives at the destination port and is extracted, the tracking information will resume updates as it is handed over to the local courier for delivery.

5.Signing & Inspection (Risk Control)

Policy Details:

Since MaxMake products are high-value items, please strictly follow this signing process:

  • Inspect Outer Packaging: Before signing, please check the box for severe damage, water damage, or deformation.

  • Note Exceptions: If the box is damaged, you MUST mark "DAMAGED" on the courier's receipt/handheld device before signing, and take photos.

  • Unboxing Video (Highly Recommended): To protect your rights, we suggest filming a complete unboxing video. If the machine is damaged or parts are missing, this video will be the only valid evidence for insurance claims.

  • Time Limit: Please contact customer support regarding any physical damage or missing parts within 24 hours of signing. Insurance claims will not be accepted after 24 hours.

6.Address Changes & Refusal

Policy Details:

  • Address Changes: Once the order has shipped (handed over to the logistics provider), the shipping address cannot be changed.

  • Refusal Responsibility: If the package is undeliverable or returned due to customer reasons (e.g., wrong address, refusal to pay duties, refusal to accept without valid reason), the customer will be responsible for two-way shipping costs and any potential additional handling fees.

MAXMAKE shall not be liable for delivery delays or failed deliveries caused by:

  1. Incorrect/incomplete delivery address or incorrect contact information.

  2. Force Majeure: Natural disasters, government policy adjustments, strikes, or transportation system disruptions.

  3. Confiscation: Packages confiscated or rejected due to violations of local transportation regulations.

  4. Restricted Access: Delivery attempts made to restricted areas such as schools, military bases, or gated communities where access is denied.

For any special shipping requests, please contact us at hello@maxmake.com.

Return and refund policy

1. Quality Commitment

At MAXMAKE, we are committed to delivering high-quality, reliable CNC products. We offer a 30-Day Return Guarantee for our machines. However, given the heavy nature of CNC equipment and international logistics complexities, please read our policy carefully before initiating a return.

2.Order Cancellation & Interception

• Before Shipment: Orders can be canceled for a full refund if the cancellation request is made before the item has been shipped (i.e., before a tracking number is generated).

• In Transit (After Shipment): Once an order has been shipped or hand-over to the carrier, it cannot be canceled.

•If you insist on canceling a shipped order or refuse delivery, you will be responsible for the Package Interception Fee charged by the carrier, plus Round-Trip Shipping Costs (the cost to ship to you + the cost to return to us). These amounts will be deducted from your refund.

3.30-Day Return Window

You have 30 calendar days from the date of delivery (based on logistics tracking) to request a return. If 30 days have passed since your delivery, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unassembled, unused, and in its original packaging with all accessories and manuals included.

4.Restocking Fees & Refund Calculation

For non-quality-related returns (e.g., changed mind, ordered by mistake, no longer needed), a Restocking Fee will be deducted from your refund to cover inspection, repackaging, and depreciation costs.

Refund Deduction Table:

⚠️ Important Notice Regarding "Free Shipping":

If your order was sold with "Free Shipping," the actual shipping cost originally incurred by MAXMAKE to ship the product to you is non-refundable. This amount will be deducted from your total refund in addition to the Restocking Fee.

5.Non-Refundable Items

We do not accept returns or refunds for the following:

• Items returned without a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.

• Consumables: Used milling bits, raw materials, or laser modules with visible signs of use.

• Software licenses that have been activated.

6.Return Process

  1. Contact Support: Email us at [Insert Your Support Email Here] with your Order Number and photos/videos of the product condition.

  2. Get Approval: If your return is approved, we will provide you with an RMA Number and the Return Warehouse Address (Note: Our return center is located in Hong Kong/China).

  3. Ship the Item: You are responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

  4. Inspection & Refund: Once your return is received and inspected (usually within 3-5 business days), we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, the refund (minus fees) will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.

7.International Returns & Duties

Since we operate via direct shipping:

Return Shipping Costs: The buyer is responsible for all costs associated with returning the item to our warehouse in Hong Kong/China.

Customs Duties: If the returned package incurs any import duties, taxes, or customs fees upon entry into China/Hong Kong, these costs will be deducted from your refund. Please mark the package as "Return Goods" to minimize this risk, but we cannot guarantee tax exemption.

8.Defective or Damaged Items

If you received a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

• We will provide free technical support, replacement parts, or a replacement machine at our discretion.

• For verified quality issues, MAXMAKE will cover the shipping costs for replacements or necessary returns.
