Warranty Policy

Every HiMill desktop CNC machine comes with a Limited Hardware Warranty. This page explains what is covered, what is not, and how to make a claim.

Warranty Period

The warranty period varies by region:

  • Consumers in the EU, Switzerland, Norway, and Iceland: 2 years.
  • All other regions: 1 year.

If the consumer protection laws in your country provide for a longer period than stated here, we will provide after-sales service in accordance with your local regulations.

The warranty period starts on the date the machine is delivered to you, based on the logistics tracking record.

For replacement parts shipped under warranty, the warranty on the replacement part runs until the end of the original warranty period. It does not restart.

If your machine is replaced under warranty, the warranty period is suspended while you await the replacement and resumes when you receive it. The replacement machine carries the remaining warranty period of the original machine.

This warranty applies to the original purchaser only, and requires a valid order number.

What Is Covered

If, during the warranty period, a covered hardware component fails or does not function as intended under normal use — and the failure is not caused by any of the exclusions listed below — MAXMAKE will provide a remedy as described in “How We Resolve a Claim”.

Covered components include:

  • Spindle and spindle assembly
  • Stepper motors and drivers
  • Ball screws, linear shafts, and linear guide rails
  • Control board and electronic modules
  • Machine frame and structural parts
  • QTC tool change mechanism and collet holder

What Is Not Covered

The following are not covered by this warranty:

(a) Consumables. Milling bits, cutting tools, collets, raw materials, and laser modules showing signs of use are consumable items and do not carry a warranty period. However, while the machine itself is still within its warranty period, we are happy to replace any such item that fails due to a manufacturing defect. Whether to replace is at MAXMAKE’s discretion.

(b) Damage caused by the user. Including but not limited to: misuse, improper operation, collision or impact, liquid ingress, unauthorized modification or repair, and use of non-compatible tools or accessories.

(c) Normal wear and tear. Gradual degradation from ordinary use is not a defect, and normal discoloration or wear is not covered.

(d) Cosmetic wear that does not affect machine function.

(e) Damage in transit. If your machine arrives damaged, that is covered separately under the Return & Refund Policy, Section 7(A) — not under this warranty. Transit damage requires photo and video evidence and must be reported within 96 hours of delivery.

(f) Second-hand products. This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and does not transfer with a resale.

(g) Tampered labels or serial numbers. Products whose labels or serial numbers show signs of removal, alteration, or forgery are not covered.

(h) Force majeure. Failures or damage caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as fire, earthquake, or flood, are not covered.

Conditions for Obtaining Service

To be eligible for warranty service, the following must all apply:

  1. You can provide valid proof of purchase — an order number, receipt, or invoice.
  2. The product has not been damaged by the user or modified without authorization.
  3. Your operation of the machine has followed the product manual and the terms of use.
  4. Any accessories or peripherals used with the machine meet its requirements and have not caused damage to it.
  5. You can provide the serial number (SN) of the defective product, or visible evidence describing the defect.

How We Resolve a Claim

If your claim is approved, MAXMAKE will, at our discretion, do one of the following:

  • Ship the replacement part to you at no charge, including shipping, or
  • Issue a store credit toward a future purchase.

Store credits are issued at up to $50, depending on the component and the circumstances.

We do not provide cash refunds under this warranty, and this warranty does not extend the 30-day return window described in our Return & Refund Policy.

Governing Terms

This warranty gives you specific rights and is offered in addition to any rights you have under applicable consumer law, including any statutory rights in your country of residence. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.

Where this policy conflicts with the consumer protection law that applies to you, the law prevails.

If your product has exceeded the warranty period, we will still provide you with technical support.

MAXMAKE reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time. Orders placed through maxmake.com remain protected under the version of this policy in effect at the time of purchase.

This policy is governed by the laws of Hong Kong, in accordance with our Terms of Service.
